Simon Lizotte (Germany) delivered a spectacular start to his campaign at the Cosmic Open at Maple Hill, shooting a bogey-free 3-under par during round one. The performance was unofficially rated 1078 by the PDGA, placing it among the highest-rated rounds of the 2025 season so far.

With this round, Lizotte joins an elite list of players who have reached or surpassed the 1075 mark in 2025. According to the Disc Golf Fanatic compilation, Lizotte's round ranks among the top 26 rated MPO rounds this year, tying with Kyle Klein and Adam Hammes, who each recorded 1078-rated rounds at The Open at Austin back in March.

While American pros dominate the top of the list, European players are increasingly making their presence felt. Notably, Finland’s Niklas Anttila appears three times on the MPO list with rounds rated 1084, 1082, and 1075. Lizotte, representing Germany, is now the second-highest-rated European on the list, trailing only Anttila.

So far in 2025, only two Europeans—Anttila and Lizotte—have cracked the 1075+ club, highlighting just how exceptional Lizotte’s round at Maple Hill truly is.

On the FPO side, Europe’s dominance is even more pronounced. Estonia’s Kristin Lätt leads the 2025 top-rated rounds list with a 1042-rated performance at the Music City Open—currently the highest-rated FPO round of the year. Lätt appears seven times in the 1000+ rated club, more than any other female player this season.

She’s joined by fellow Europeans Silva Saarinen (Finland), who has logged several rounds over 1000 including a 1036-rated one at the Champions Cup, and Eveliina Salonen (Finland), who continues to demonstrate consistent elite-level play. Altogether, European players make up over a third of the FPO’s top-rated performances in 2025, signaling a shift in the competitive balance at the highest level of women’s disc golf.
