Niklas Anttila (Finland)

  • PDGA#: 91249

  • Rating: 1043

  • Hometown: Kuopio, Finland

  • Division: MPO

  • Overview: One of Europe's premier disc golfers, Anttila is a consistent top performer with a strong international track record. His 1043 rating makes him one of the highest-ranked competitors in the entire field, and a serious contender for the title.

Giorgio Diena (Italy)

  • PDGA#: 216216

  • Rating: 956

  • Hometown: Torino, Italy

  • Division: MPO

  • Overview: Representing Southern Europe, Diena is an emerging player from Italy and among a very small group of Italians competing regularly in the PDGA circuit.

Registration for the tournament is open until the evening of May 8, so there’s still a chancethat a few more players might join.

At the 2024 edition of the Santa Cruz Masters Cup, a total of 192 professional players competed across multiple divisions. The total pro purse reached $49,770, with MPO champion Ezra Robinson taking home nearly $3,000. Only a handful of European players were in attendance last year, with Niklas Anttila being the most prominent among them. While the field was diverse in age and rating, European representation remained limited, making this year’s return of Anttila and newcomer Giorgio Diena particularly noteworthy.
