The 2025 Disc Golf World Championships in Finland are on track to become the most international event in PDGA history, with players from over 44 different countries already registered. The organizers, led by Jussi Meresmaa, aim to deliver a world championship that breaks records, leaves a lasting mark and elevates the sport to the next level. Registration for the second phase has opened, allowing top-rated players in both open and women’s divisions to join the historic field.

The event has also attracted major corporate support. Swedish disc golf brand Latitude 64 has joined as a main partner. "We are excited to be a part of this historic event," said Johannes Högberg, Brand Director at Latitude 64. He added that the company hopes the Championships will inspire even more people to explore the wonderful world of disc golf.

Latitude 64 will have a strong presence at both competition venues and the world’s largest disc golf trade fair, set in Nokia. To celebrate the partnership, the company is releasing a special fundraising disc, Project Grip Fuse. Meresmaa emphasized that Latitude 64’s involvement is a huge milestone for European disc golf and a testament to Finland’s leadership in the sport.

Alongside Latitude 64, confectionery giant HARIBO has also joined as a main partner. Fairway 17 at both Nokia and Tampere courses will be transformed into Haribo-branded fairways, creating a distinctive visual presence throughout the tournament.

"Disc golf is a hobby for the whole family, and we want to be part of this celebration," said Pia Pesonen, Country Director of HARIBO. The brand will also run extensive marketing campaigns across Finland, including in-store displays and social media contests offering VIP tickets and disc golf-themed prizes.

According to Meresmaa, HARIBO’s partnership will give the World Championships unprecedented visibility from Helsinki to Rovaniemi, boosting awareness of both the event and the sport throughout the country.
