The 2025 Waco Annual Charity Open, the second event of the Disc Golf Pro Tour season, delivered another thrilling showcase of international talent. European players made their mark in both the FPO and MPO divisions, with standout performances from Estonia’s Kristin Lätt, Finland’s Henna Blomroos, and Germany’s Simon Lizotte.

Kristin Lätt Continues Her Dominance
Estonia’s Kristin Lätt claimed her third consecutive WACO title, finishing at 23 under par, seven strokes clear of the field. After entering the final round with a two-stroke lead, Lätt surged ahead early and never looked back, closing with a flawless nine-under round on Sunday.
Lätt’s victory in Texas extends her winning streak at WACO and reinforces her position as one of the favorites for the remainder of the season. With this result, she continues to lead the European charge on the U.S. disc golf scene.
Henna Blomroos Claims Third Place
Finland’s Henna Blomroos delivered another consistent performance, finishing third at 15 under par. Blomroos opened the tournament with a hot round of eight under, leading the field after day one. She remained in contention through the final round but slipped to third after a challenging finish, with bogey on hole 18 allowing Holyn Handley (USA) to edge her out for second.
Blomroos has been a mainstay at the top of leaderboards in recent seasons and continues to represent Europe with distinction on the DGPT circuit.
Simon Lizotte Secures Runner-Up Finish in MPO
Germany’s Simon Lizotte showcased his veteran experience with a second-place finish in the MPO division. After a massive jump up the leaderboard on moving day, Lizotte capped off the weekend with a 12-under final round, finishing at 29 under par, just behind winner Adam Hammes (USA).
Lizotte’s strong start to the season suggests he’ll be a contender at upcoming events, particularly as the tour shifts to venues where his distance and creativity can shine.
Other European Competitors in the Spotlight
Finland’s Niklas Anttila, another top European player, competed in Waco and remains one to watch as the tour heads to Austin. While he did not make the top ranks this weekend, his consistency and potential make him a threat at any event.
With multiple European athletes on the podium and in contention, the Waco Annual Charity Open highlighted the growing influence and competitiveness of Europe’s top disc golfers on the international stage.
The Disc Golf Pro Tour continues with the MVP Open at Austin, where Europe’s elite—Kristin Lätt, Henna Blomroos, Simon Lizotte, and Niklas Anttila—are expected to make another strong showing.
